DiningBuzz! - 'Bland meal' option for elder, 'plain food' lover people on non-Western airlines

Hi,
'Bland' is probably the last option I'd take on a flight, but I have selected it for some elderly relatives on their upcoming EK longhaul flight.

Have you ever selected or encouraged selection of the 'bland' option onboard flights, particularly premium flights, for people you know would have trouble enjoying something different from their usual 'home' cuisine?

Hopefully, these relatives will be given options and may well enjoy somethiing new and different, too.

However the bland option is a safe one for them.

Any experiences you can add?

I suppose bland is the eye of the beholder, but I have found all of EK's offerings in J and F, except for the Hindu meals, to be rather bland (but usually tasty).

This might be what you mean by bland... (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5147636284090988855#)
