Virgin flying club - Does VS20 SFO-LHR have a snooze zone?

According to VS website there is no snooze zone on this flight, but the VS call center staff seem to think that there is - meaning no dining on the upper deck.
Please, can anyone confirm
1) if there is a snooze zone on the upper deck
2) what are the restrictions on dining in the snooze zone, if any.
(yes I know there will be A340 serving this route soon, but I'm asking about the 744!)

Snooze zone operates on shorter overnight flights to London. There is no snooze zone on the VS019 and the full dining options will be available on the upper deck of the 747.

Hi - thanks. You mean VS20. (Vs19 is LHR-SFO).
WOuld you say upper deck is a bit more calm than the nose section of lower deck?
On my last trip in UC, in the nose, there seemed to be endless coming and going by crew and pax. No condusive to rest!

No snooze zone on any west coast flights - outbound or inbound so both the 19 and 20 are snooze-free.
Upstairs has *slightly* longer suites, and is typically quieter, yes. Just steer clear of the very front set of suites (especially on the A size) as the toilet traffic (and light spill) can be REALLY annoying. The rest of upstairs, feels a lot quieter, yes.

Hi Preiffer thanks!
Last little detail. Last time I seem to remember being much too warm which also prevented me from sleeping. Have you had that experience? Is upstairs any cooler?

FWIW, I just flew VS20 in UC on the lower deck. I prefer cooler temperatures than most people, and I was very comfortable. I live in SoCal and keep my AC at 72, for a frame of reference. Can't speak for the upper deck, but perhaps you had an uncommonly warm flight on your last trip.

Cheers! Now that I think about it, it could have been those VS sleep suits being overly warm. Perhaps they are polyester? Next time I'll take my CX Shanghai Tangs!

That's a good idea - and don't forget, at least on VS you get cool air vents, although on the 747 they can be really noisy!

Another option (my way):
Remove the duvet itself from the duvet cover.
Place on the bed platform, and then put the mattress cover provided in a roll on top.
Sleep with only the "sheet" as a result of removing the duvet over you.
Benefits:
1. Cooler. 2 layers of cotton sheet rather than the duvet in there.
2. More comfortable. The duvet underneath the mattress cover smooths out all the lumps/bumps/joins in the suite and also has more of a "comfy bed" feel.
If you've ever seen anyone deconstructing the duvet on board before bed, it's probably been me. ;)

I will try your method!

Dear recent responders ..... would you recommend 19K or 22K - these are my only options! Seems like 19K you are next to galley, 22k next to bar!

19K - meant to be a very good location for a single traveller. There used to be an in flight beauty treatment bit there which is not gone so lots of space apparently.

Definitely 19K - the galley isn't actually that close and being in front of the bulkhead the seat has a lot of privacy. There's also a useful little shelf area next to your left shoulder for extra placing of in flight comforts!

Alas while I was deliberating 19K was snapped up!
I wonder if other seats will free up closer to the day as people cancel out...
