Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - EY or Jet in Y?

Mrs apoivre and yours truly are toying with the idea of flying EY from DME to DEL. Unfortunately, in Y :mad: On the outbound the flight from Moscow arrives at AUH at 8.40 pm and then we have a choice of either taking an EY-operated flight (dep. AUH 10:05 pm arr DEL 3:00 am) or wait a bit and take an 9W-operated one (dep AUH 12:55 am arr DEL 5:50 am). Both are narrowbodies (EY A320, 9W 737). Are there any reasons to prefer one over the other - apart from the slightly more civilized arrival time of the latter???

And while we're at it - I see EY have a family plan where I'll be able to credit my wife's miles to my account in full. Are there any disvantages in doing so? Where's the catch? Neither of us is planning to fly EY a lot in the future...
