Just came back from a trip to Europe where I flew Vueling Seville-Rome and Air Berlin Rome-Dusseldorf.
Booking not difficult, airline flights just fine, seats small but adequate, no problems with luggage amounts ( we had carry on and small bags to check as were there for some time)
Funny moment when we arrived in Rome on Vueling when no equipment was there for disembarkation. Crew looking around, frantic phone calls , totally mystified This went on for at least 20 minutes. Finally bus and ladders came. Annoying, but the reaction of the crew was priceless.
Air berlin boarding was confused and odd too. First the gate was changed 10 minutes before boarding. Went to new gate . Staff there from another airlines without a clue. Large , confused mass of people not knowing if they were in the right place or not. Finally staff showed up , confirmed that we were in the right place and said we would have to wait, presumably while they moved the plane. This took 30 minutes. Plane, of course took off late but made up time so that we were only about 15 minutes late in Rome--however, I would not make close connections on theis one.
Patience and a sense off humor are important when flying these airlines but you get there and that's the point. :)
