So,
BA are introducing seat allocation charges. Up to a wopping £60 for a CW ticket, unless of course you have status.
Which way wil SRB go.?
I personally hope he keeps things as is. If prices need to rise slightly then so be it. I am a big fan of a ticket price which includes all the frills.
Stand by for another successful marketing campaign from Virgin !!

If SRB was still running the airline, there would be a great ad op here.
Does he still have any say, or have the people in grey suits well and truly taken over?
I think this issue will be the acid test. Follow like lemmings - or dare to be different.

See their tweet (http://twitter.com/VirginAtlantic/status/4365454538). I would expect their PR machinery to go into overdrive given how badly BA are shooting themselves in the foot on this topic.

And on Facebook, saying VS has no intention of introducing the same ... let's see how long that lasts!

I dont think VS will follow BA on this one.....
How many people thought that VS would start charging passengers extra to carry Surfboards/Sports Equipment like BA introduced last year???

It just give another great reason to stick with VS.
I know there are a number of passengers (especially from US) here don't like VS. What I can tell you is VS do listen to voice from passengers (especially loyal passengers), I've got letters from SRB's PA directly addressing the issues I raised. And guess what happened few months later, they changed schedule according passengers' voice.
I'd prefer VS than BA, and never want to pay that seat selection fee.
