I am considering flying Korean Air for a trip in late November but would book my ticket before Continental leaves SkyTeam on Oct. 24. Does anyone know if I can still get credit for my Korean Air miles towards my OnePass miles or does anyone know if Continental extended their contract to honor miles flown on Korean Air past the Oct. 24 departure from SkyTeam?

Mileage earning is based on the date of the flight rather than the date the ticket was purchased so I would not expect to earn Onepass miles on KE in November . While it is theoretically possible for CO to keep some FF partnerships with individual Skyteam Airlines after leaving the alliance ( MX kept relationships with NZ and LH for quite some time after leaving *A ) it would seem pretty unlikely that they would keep a relationship with KE when they will be starting a relationship with OZ . Their is certainly nothing on the CO website to suggest that they will maintain a post Skyteam relationship with KE . You havent mentioned what route you are considering flying KE on , is it a route that OZ also operate ? If so perhaps you could consider booking with them instead .

You will definitely NOT earn miles in the CO OnePass program for a flight taken on KE after October 24th. If earning on CO is important I'd look as Asiana or another *A carrier.

If you want credit on CO OnePass and want non-stop flights then you need to be looking at Asiana. There are no details yet on what fare classes will earn at what levels, so there is some risk there, but it is a certainty that KE will not earn you anything.
