I'm booked YVR-DEL on QR. The portion from YVR to IAH is on CO.
I got a great seat sale, because of which I was able to book J class from YVR to IAH and the IAH to DOH. But the portion from DOH to DEL is Y Class. Exact same routing on the return. Also a five hour layover in DOH.

So, Question is am I going to be able to use the premium terminal as i'm getting off of J class or not?

No, you won't, I am afraid. Unless it has changed recently, which I doubt, the only thing that counts towards accessing the Premium Terminal is the COS of your flight leaving DOH.

Give it a try! You might get away with it, after all you have actually been travelling business class. The worst they can do is block your passage.

Agree with all of the above. All carriers apply the same rules, it's the Boarding Card for the Outbound flight which is the entrance ticket. However, also agree give it a try. Look nice, be nice, smile a lot and ask for an exception based on your Inconjing J flight. You might politely explain that you were downgraded on the Outgoing flight because the airline could not confirm C when the ticket was issues or some other plausible sounding BS. exceptions have been known!

Look at the fare on your ticket, and see if you can buy-up to sit in business class on the DOH-DEL sector. It could be that the booking class is not available and the computer automatically defaulted you to sit in Y class. Check at IAH check in if you can get into the Premium Terminal as you will have gotten off a very long flight in J. You would need an invitation card to access the Premium Terminal. If you get an invitation, make sure the station manager authorizes it otherwise you will be blocked from getting in in DOH anyway.

I do agree with Guy Betsy. From YVR - DEL, try getting the Premium terminal lounge access card issued at IAH and signed by the agent. But a word of caution is that when you get off the bus at DOH at the Premium terminal and if they deny you access (lets hope that is not the case), then there is no internal passage to the main terminal. You HAVE to get out and walk to the main terminal - I am not sure of the visa on arrival regulations wherein you can walk out. Just a word of caution though!

On the return journey (DEL-YVR) you can access the premium terminal since your DOH-IAH segment is on J class.

Good luck!!
