Swiss International Airlines - weird award availability LON-ZRH - normal ?

Am trying to get from London to Moscow using BMI miles. Sadly no availability on the morning BD direct flight.

M&M is showing plenty of availability via FRA on LH, but would rather fly LX (much cheaper YQ surcharge and better chocolates ;) ) - nothing doing.

Digging deeper there's no problem ZRH-DME, the problem is LON-ZRH.

The available date grid looks plain weird - excellent availability up until dep 7/ret 8 Oct, then just 4 return dates in the next month (17/24/29/31 Oct), each of which is offered with every possible departure date. There's just 4 single columns of radio buttons. Checking a few random departure/return combos, it seems to be offering every flight in and out of both LCY and LHR :confused:

Anyone got any ideas why ? Is this likely to be a temporary bug (ie should I hold off booking LH hoping it goes away) ?

Have you called BD? This sounds like something an agent could help you with. There are so many LCY / LHR-ZRH flights that i am sure some must be available.

I checked expertflyer... outbound there is full availability in business & coach every day from 9th - 15th, inbound also full availability from the 10th - 16th

There are so many LCY / LHR-ZRH flights that i am sure some must be available.

And there are plenty available on the 4 days with availability but on the other 20-some days - nothing. The BD agent was seeing the same thing (well, certainly seeing no availability at all on the day I asked about).

That's why I'm wondering if it's a glitch - all flights available on four days and no flights on 20 other days just doesn't make sense.... :confused:

EDIT: Thanks allanhuk, have figured a workround in M&M since I only want the outbound anyway - see there's availability on the date I want.... back to the ICC. It's obviously just M&M playing silly b8ggers
