I found an amazing price for business class tickets on gulf air (KHI-LHR).
My only concern is that i have heard horrible things about them (old planes, constantly late)...
If you have had a gulf air experience (good or bad), esp. if you have traveled this route or the bahrain to london route, please share.

Done BAH-LHR many times and have always been on the A330/A340 with the newer seats or (better still) the leased B777 from Jet Airways^^.
Never done KHI-BAH though

Agreed that the 330/340 and 777 are great in J class - especially the 777's. The KHI-BAH-KHI is on the smaller 320, not bad, no deep recline but it's only for a short while, there really isnothign to write home about on this aircraft, but for the length of ourney time, it's more than adeauate. You will get access to the lounge in KHI, the name slips me, but its the lounge used by every airline other than PIA, the lounges in BAH and LHR are fantastic too.
Do it! If you have not already, it may be worth you signing up for their FFP program, they often have deals of from KHI to Europe to compete with TK.
They only have J and Y on the KHI-BAH-KHI sector though.
