Just across a busy road from the Hertz return is a gas station what has no sign advertising its prices.....yesterday I was about to fill up when I noticed regular was $4.69 ,,,,had to look twice as the prices were fairly faint....premium gas was way higher.,,
---I called out to another driver in front of me --and we both drove off.
About 1 mile up the Seminole Road there are normal gas stations($2.45/gallon )...

Are you referring to the Chevron on Semoran? That one is as bad as the one at the corner of I4 and 535, just outside downtown Disney.

People have complained about that place for years, but I don't know if any investigations were ever done regarding price gouging. Seems they are always $1.50 - $2.00 higher than anywhere else. Obviously praying on the unsuspecting.
Also, don't bother with the Wendy's there either, slow as molasses, and they always get your order wrong. :p

Firstly, the Hertz on Semoran is still open? I thought it was going to close and move back to the airport.
Anyway, if you are returning to Hertz from the Airport exit of the Beachline Tollway, head toward Semoran Blvd, pass Hertz (which will be on your left) and about 1/2 mile down on the right is a Speedway (or similar) that has more competitive prices.
If you are returning to Hertz from the Tradeport exit of the Beachline, after you exit the Beachline and turn left under the tollway there is a gas station to the left on the frontage road.
And if you are on the Disney Property, surprisingly, the On-Property Hess stations not as expensive as the Chevron station. In my experience, except for a few very specific exceptions, Chevron stations are high-price-high-service stations.
That's the notorious Suncoast Energy station. It's been discussed on FlyerTalk before in various threads (sample). It used to be a Chevron, but Chevron revoked their franchise due to all the complaints.
It's always the highest price in the Orlando area by far. From GasBuddy.com (http://www.orlandogasprices.com/), it's showing $4.49/gal, with the next highest at $2.65.
They're relying on people who don't check the price, or people on expense accounts.
