Korean Air Skypass - KE1/KE2 New 777-200 Upgrade?

I decided to fly KE1/2 from LAX to NRT after being hesitant and knowing that it was an older plane without AVOD, however when I went to go book my seat reservations, I noticed that rather than the usual 2-4-2 config, it will be 3-3-3 starting December 7th. Could it be true that they will be upgrading the plane finally?

yes! KE will upgrade KE001/002 sometime around this winter. one 777-200ER(HL7530) is under refurbishing now, and it will get the same seats as the one that installed on KE's newest 777-300ERs include first class suite. (it will be version3 after upgrade.)
Depend on days, KE001/002 will even get better cabin product than non-stop flights(KE018/012/062/006).
you might be on version2 which is still new cabin and the same seats as 747s have....or maybe verion 3??
I'm not sure which one you'll be on though.
