Hello Everyone,
I got a strange gift from EL-AL, A book telling EL-AL's history (which reading it,
seems someone did some mistakes!), The book came with a letter from Haim Romano that looks more a letter to employees rather to customers...
Anyone got this as well ?

Hello Everyone,

From what I know, El Al has offered one copy of this book - in its Hebrew version - to every employee as a gift in honor of the airline's 60th anniversary. This explains the "letter to employees".
The English title of the book is El Al: Israel's Flying Star and it is actually an updated and expanded version of the author's previous book about El Al which he had written in 1990 - El Al, Star in the Sky.
I am quite astonished that the only comment you make about this book relates to "mistakes". The book is very interesting and comprehensive, relating the first steps of civil aviation in Israel in the early 20th century, the birth of El Al and its development over 6 decades. It is beautifully illustrated with hundreds of color and b/w photographs. You can imagine the huge effort which was invested by its author; months - even years - of thorough research and intense effort.
Since you have read the book, you might have noted, on page 7, that the author "would welcome receiving additional information from readers" and that he is even indicating how to proceed:
Comments may be addressed to Marvin G. Goldman in care of the publisher, Airways International Inc, PO Box 1109, Sandpoint, ID 83864, USA, or e-mail airways@airwaysmag.com.
Of course, I would also be interested to be informed about the mistakes that you have noticed while reading the book. Advanced thanks for any feedback - either here, or by PM or e-mail.
PS: for those interested, here's the link to the Airways Magazine webpage featuring the book (in English):
