Tickets from travel agents on ARC stock. They apparently have no place for AGR number. Does anyone have experience with crediting them to your account?

I had a ticket (from Carlson Wagonlit Travel, no less) that didn't have the AGR number on it. When I got to my originating station, I took the ticket to the station agent, and she attached my AGR number on the ticket's computer record. Even though the AGR number did not show up on the ticket (she just gave me back the tickets), I did get credit in a timely fashion. I suppose you could call Amtrak (not Amtrak Guest Rewards) and tell them the situation. A competent phone agent should be able to ask you the what to read off and call up your reservation to attach your AGR number to the ticket. This might be our only option if you don't have a staffed station. ByeByeDelta Sep 23, 09, 3:27 pm As long as the AGR number is in the reservation, no worries. On Amtrak stock it only prints on the stub kept by the passenger anyway. I've successfully added the number after printing tickets a couple times with no issues. Oddly, the few times tickets haven't posted is when my AGR number has been in the reservation from the beginning. |
