Hertz - G35/37 or Volvo S80?

Hi all,
Price is about the same for either ($30 difference over the entire rental), so I'm just trying to figure out which one to get as I've never rented either of these cars.
I'm about 6'3, so a little concerned about being comfortable in the G37. Also the MPG on the G37.
However, overall, which one would you choose...S80 or G37?
Thanks!

They're very different cars. The Volvo isn't sporty at all; it's slow and doesn't have a good suspension. That said, if you're looking for comfort, it might be better since it's slightly quieter on the freeway than the G37.
The G37 is a decent sports car. The interior has a lot of cheap plastic, but it's still slightly higher quality than the Volvo/Ford. You can get the same experience if you rented a Premium car instead of the Volvo, so I wouldn't bother. The G37 is at least somewhat interesting....

I disagree on this (I own a S80). The S80 suspension is firm, like most European cars, and the newer S80s are pretty powerful, even if equipped with the basic 3.2 (T6 or the V8 is even better - but doubtful you'll find these at Hertz). Granted the G37 is more powerful (it is one of the most powerful small sedans on the road), and in the words of my friend almost scary powerful for its size.

G37 looks decent inside, but it is no where near the level of an S80 interior in terms of quality of materials or safety equipment. If you're looking for a quick ride with a lot of power, G37 hands down, if you want a more luxurious and comfortable ride, choose the S80.

Also the MPG on the G37.
Infiniti G37 is rated 18/26 city/highway on premium fuel
Volvo S80 is rated 16/25 on regular fuel.
The G37 is better on fuel, but because it uses premium it works out costing about the same to fuel as the S80.
Personally I would probably take the G37 just because of its uniqueness. That said, I've never driven an S80 before and I would be tempted to pick that as well. I drove an S40 extensively a couple of years ago and always liked it.

Thanks for all the feedback!!
Given that we want some comfort and we may have passengers in the back, we're going to go with the S80.
Thanks again!
