Hi

We have a ticket on LAN, and one segment is SCL to GRU, originally booked on N booking class. Following a schedule change by LAN, we called up AA.com (where we booked the ticket from), and moved to a later flight. In the process, the booking class of the segment has become T. Checking on both AA and BA - T class doesn't seem to be listed as a miles earning class? Does anyone know what T class is used for in LAN?

Thanks

T is economy award space, generally. I don't know if it is used for anything else.

whkchan - are you sure the flight you are booked on is still on LAN metal or on a JJ codeshare or even a JJ flight number. i doubt that AA could book you onto a LA award fare bucket for that flight (T=economy award on lan). however T on JJ is a regular economy fare bucket.

I am sure it's still a LAN flight. Hmmm, if it's award seats, then it means no miles. Might have to take up with AA.

Called up AA and they confirmed that they have put us in T class because that's the only class available to them to protect us on that flight. It's either stay in that class to go on that flight, or revert to N class, on our original flight. We decided to choose the earlier since we want to maximise our time in Santiago.
