Well, a few weeks ago I flew Z from SFO-SIN. I had ordered a Vegetarian meal from SFO-TPE-SIN over the phone before my flight. I asked numerous times if the Vegetarian meal was different in Z than economy. Twice i was told YES. Well, i end up getting my vegetarian meal which consisted of plain pasta with clumps of tomato sauce and canned veggies. This crap looked like it came straight out of economy. For breakfast they tried to stick me with another veggy meal, which i did order, but insisted on the chinese breakfast. SOLD OUT... this happen twice where they were sold out of a meal. Yes it was my mistake for pre-ordering Vegetarian meals, but who knew it would be crap scooped out of economy served on their Z class plates! I mean people fly business for the meal, seats, experience & space. Not to mention their seats in full recline mode feels like you are going to slide into the seat infront of you! I have flown EVA on and off for years, and honestly i can say their food quality has declined! I actually experienced a better Veggie meal from SIN-CGK on SIA flying Economy. Go figure! I might think twice paying a Z fare on EVA.

If you ordered a vegetarian meal online, then you will probably have to stick with it.

Running out of the Chinese Breakfast is no news to me. Everyone prefers Congee w/different appetites than the omelet that never changes.

On another note. A very good friend of mine just finished a MNL-TPE-SEA flight and he forgot to inform them he was a vegetarian. The MNL-TPE flight atendant did what she could to provide him with food but she promised that she would arrange a vegetarian meal for the remainder of his itinerary.

Sure enough, during his transfer in TPE, she did just that. On his TPE-SEA flight, he was served his vegetarian food. Now that is personal service! Well Done EVA.

Well, yes it's both. When you pay 3700 for a ticket you'd expect a decent meal
