So when do you think Asiana Club will start allowing mileage accrual on Continental? It's not on flyasiana yet (I guess that's to be expected, they're not in *A yet) but skyteam carriers (i.e. KE) have been saying mileage accrual on them through Continental ends Oct 24 for, like, ever now.
Maybe I should just join OnePass instead.

According to
https://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/news/alliance.aspx
CO will join *A on 27 October. So my guess is that OZ will allow accrual from that date. And my guess also is that this won't show on the OZ website for another 200 years.

Most likely, yeah.
Well the more important question is if CO is going to waive bag fees for star silver members like UAL.

Unlike ST and OW, *G and *S have an extra baggage allowance- as a published rule.

Assuming CO joins star on time, yeah. Is this a safe assumption to make though?

Actually, *S status does't have any baggage benefits attached in the official rules. It is just practice that some airlines waive the bag fee for *S members as they do for their own Frequent Flyers.

Stupidhead, I think you need to update your profile as it says OZ Silver. You are an OZ Gold which is *S.

Individual airline can do whatever for *G or *S members, but there is no published rule for *S have extra baggage allowance at all.
