Virgin flying club - New FC Member - earning miles partner on the same booking?

Just joined the FC, having booked a round trip for the better half and I to Nairobi in PE. I've entered my Red FC FF number against my name on the booking.

Can I earn the miles for her portion of the booking, and if so how do I this?

If I can't, is it worth setting her up as Red Member and getting the miles that way ?

I take it you can't transfer miles between 2 people, but she could book a flight for me using her miles ?

Thanks in advance

You can only earn miles for your seat, not hers.

Yes, it is worth enrolling her, use the Mile more friends link (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/miles_morefriends/index.jsp) on the VS website and you will benefit too.

Once you have sufficient points you can book flights for anyone.

As Nick says, miles more friends is the way to go ^.

You can, but only in some circumstances and in the top tier of Virgin frequent flying. However, yes, if your #1 has the miles, they can be used for a booking for you or an upgrade (I think).
