Can I still earn NWA miles on Jet (9W)?

I have serached this and the have seen old responses and links to nwa.com and jetairways.com which shows that you can earn miles. I know the Jet is not a partner of delta.

So, if I am traveling in November on 9w, can I still earn NWA miles?

I've asked a similar question on the Worldperks forum as I haven't seen any news about earning miles on NW-only partners on the Skypiles program once WP goes away in October. Someone posted that a Delta Sky inflight magazine had a mention of NW-only partners being able to earn on Skypiles after October, but I'm not holding my breath.

My travels on 9W and IT have been crediting more or less ok to my NW account in June, July, August and September, so you can still earn NWA miles for flights this month. For flights several weeks from now -- like in November -- I am not sure yet but I haven't come across anything indicating that November is going to be the start of having issues earning NW miles when flying 9W and/or IT. I anticipate there will be a public announcement when/if there is a failure on the part of the involved airlines to maintain the relationship.

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

We are sorry, but our agreement with Jet Airways does not allow for earning Elite Qualifying Miles on Jet Airways operated flights.

Jet Airways is not a partner with Delta SkyMiles at this time.

You can view the participating partners with Delta SkyMiles online at:

Thank you for choosing Northwest, KLM, Delta and our SkyTeam Alliance airlines. We value your patronage and consider it a privilege to serve your travel needs.

Sincerely,

Bob Wills

Just saw this post, but NWA never has provided EQMs for 9W flights. I started flying Kingfisher over here, even though the flight mileage never is very much, it at least adds up to something more than Jet Air, which just gives you the miles. I guess it depends if you fly for status or free flights though...

Jet Airways and Kingfisher are both now DL SkyMiles partners when it comes to earning miles. However, given what DL has done to severely devalue the DL-NW miles, I would be crediting the flights to other programs where a mile has greater value than it does in DL-NW accounts.

By the way, the earning of NW status miles when flying Kingfisher flights is now gone under the DL management regime.
