National - National's Online Emerald Club "Glitch"
I haven't been able to log into my National Emerald Aisle account since mid-August. Tech Support tells me they are well-aware that some Emerald Aisle members cannot access their accounts because Enterprise is trying to combine Enterprise/Alamo/National. A few emails sent to me from Tech Support are actually titled Emerald Club Glitch.
A rep told me that at this point the only thing that can be done is create an online reservation and then phone in all the info - EA number, discount code, and coupons codes. Kind of a pain.
Anyone else having problems? My Alamo account was down for a few weeks as well but is now working. From conversations with National over the past month, it sounds like there are quite a few of us with the same problem.

It's fine for me now and has shown no issues the several times I have logged in during the last month.

I logged into my Emerald account this morning and it came up with an error saying error opening insurance cursor.
I called the Emerald support number and talked to a rude agent who said that its a problem and it will be a while before I can log into my account.

You're getting the same error message as I am. I was told everyone who cannot log into their account gets that message.
I've only dealt with very helpful phone agents as well as one really great agent via email, but they must be getting testy with all the complaints - it's now been 5 weeks for me w/no online access.
Same problem here. It just started happening. However, I had the same problem when trying to access my Alamo Quicksilver account since last month and I still can't access that account either.

works for me so far. Fingers crossed.
I'm still getting the same error code message when trying to log into my National account: "error opening insurance cursor".
My online Alamo account is now down again too - same error message.
I spoke to National Customer Service this week. Their only suggestion is to open a new Emerald Club account online and then call to get the two accounts combined into the newer one. They do not suggest doing this if you already have reservations coming up within the next few weeks of trying to create another account.
I didn't bother phoning them back yet with the next problem when attempting to create a new Emerald Club account online: error message "Unexpected Error We are sorry. The system just experienced an unexpected error. Please retry." Surprised to see that message come up: I was all prepared to get the error that I already have a EA account.

I may have now found a reason for my glitch with the insurance error. About two months ago, I signed up for Alamo quicksilver for my small business I have.
I tried to make my first reservation using my Quicksilver account number today and this same error came up not allowing me to make an online reservation. I called Quicksilver support line and they said they never processed my Quicksilver paperwork that they sent me to return that has my signature on it. The rep told me that this error comes up when they do not have on file, a signed form saying that you accept or decline the optional insurance on your Quicksilver reservations. She thought with the integration, the errors might be translating over to my Emerald Exec account.
She sent me the paperwork to send in again to try to fix the problem. We'll see if that works
A side note, my wife is also an Emerald Exec and she is able to sign into her account with no problems.

Yeah, could be the Quicksilver thing. I signed up for Alamo's QS back in Aug. and was told they never received any application from me when I phoned to inquire about it somewhere in Sept. So I filed another app. and everything went through, plus my Alamo online acct. came back to life. This week it's down, just like my online National.
Sunday I made an Alamo reservation online then phoned Quicksilver to add my #, as suggested by Customer Service. The rep said the rate increased when adding the QS # but I could have the old rate. However, the confirmation # changed and I was told they would not be emailing me an updated reservation. Without any printable confirmation, the only thing that made sense to me at that point was to tell the rep to cancel it.
Phoned Customer Service again and got the same story: they are working on the online problem. Makes you wonder how much business they are losing.

I received an email from National, and the problem has been fixed system-wide.
