Hi!
This morning I planned to fly from OSL via CPH to HAN. I just left home too late and when catching the airport express I would have arrived ten minutes before departure and realized that it would not be worth the try.
What would you think and did your status ever help you to still catch a flight that would otherwise been gone already?
I have booked an economy extra ticket and have Silver status. The call center was closed until 9 am though, so there was nobody I could have reached before 9 and the flight was scheduled for 8:55.
However I rescheduled the flight and will give it another try this afternoon! ;)

A minute or even less. Just before they have closed the door. Last week I still catched a flight 6 minutes past scheduled departure. They pushed almost before I got buckled up.

Having used OLCI and only having hand luggage I've arrived at OSL 20 minutes before my flight depature time and still managed to get onboard

I think it has a lot to do with the departure airport. It is a whole lot easier to arrive very late and still make the flight at e.g. AAR, that is the case at e.g. EWR.
The closest one I had (and still made it) was 9min prior to departure at CPH going to ARN. Did check in at the Gold counter in CPH, but of course only hand luggage.

A couple of years back, 10 minutes PAST scheduled push-back., EVE-OSL, last flight out that snow-ridden friday night.
Doors were actually closed. About 20min before schedule phoned the airport directly, spoke to station-manager and he promised to do everything possible, and really delivered. The "Red Cap" was at our time of arrival actually just computing the final numbers at the gate, having been at the plane for final checks, but redid the computing, followed us out and whoops the doors to the warm interior opened. Seat 1A+C awaited.
Now: That's service!!

In February 2002: My tickets were lost, and I needed reissuing. Downtown travel agent didn't open until 10am. 5 minutes later in a cap to CPH. Checking in at 10.18am for a 10.40am flight with SK from CPH to EWR. Suitcase made it too. Departure on time!
Also 2002: flying from OSL to BLL with WF. Bought full fare at OSL 20-25 minutes prior to departure. When I arrived at gate, the last bus had left, but doors not closed yes. Friendly lady said: "I was waiting for you, please take your carry-on downstairs". Then she drove me in a Skoda pick-up to the plane. Carry-on had to spend the short trip to the plane outside in the snow on the pick-up :D
My story may not be excactly what the question refers to but this Friday I was returning from Trondheim/Værnes to Oslo.
Having listened to my friends advice, I had only bought one-way to Trondheim and planned to buy one-way back at the Airport. This gives the opportunity to have flexibilty and you use Norwegian or Sas.
This time had 32 minutes before departure. Also had luggaged I had to send. The lady processed ticket in 1 minute, checked me in within the 30 minute limit and I was good to go.

AAR is usually quite flexible. I've done a quick dash to the gate - arriving at the airport check-in area 15 minutes before departure, passing security, and boarding as the last person. (missed the airport bus, and waited ages for a taxi that once it finally came seemed to have a very law-abiding driver at least regarding speed limits).
