Virgin flying club - How best to get two upper class seats using VS and ANA miles

My wife and I want to go to LHR from the US sometime in the spring. I'll have over 100,000 VS miles and 70,000 ANA miles. How do I coordinate them to make sure we get two seats on the flight using the two different websites.

1. You call VS Flying Club, and ask for availability for LHR-USA flight. Ask if there's more than 1 seat available.

Hang up phone.

2. Ask wife to call up ANA Mileage Club and check if said LHR-USA is also available. Then she books her flight.

Hang up phone. Unless you have another line..

3. You call back VS Flying Club and book your flight. Or do it online. I'm sure you'd have written the flight numbers down of the flight your wife booked on?

After ticketing is done.. usually after a week.. call up VS res, and pull up each reservation and do seat selection for yourself, and then for your wife.

Now that wasn't so hard to think about, was it?
