View Full Version : Avis Gift card, the WORST!

I have to make reservation via avis.com/giftcard, if I cancel the reservation, have to wait 48 hours to reuse the card.

The problem began when one card balance did not load back, I called the number on back of the card several times, none of them had no idea what the gift card is and how that work.they had to go to avis.com/giftcard to read themselves.

I ask them how to get my giftcard balance back, they suggested me to call Customer Service, then I called, Customer Service asked me to call the number on back of the card.

Finally, after 4 phone calls, I was able to find an agent know how to re load the balance, but she required my original confirmation number, which I did not have because reservation canceled long time ago. she said this is the only way, if I can not find reservation number, too bad.

Any suggestions? Thanks

I would immediately go to bbb.org, the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. When I've had issues that Avis would not help with, they were VERY quick to respond to BBB complaints. Keep us posted with any updates!

Good! one person said she will call me back, if she does not by end of Monday, I will contact BBB.
