Hawaii-based Airlines - How early can I check bags? (Hawaiian Airlines)

How early can I check bags for a Hawaiian flight? I have an OGG-HNL flight coming up in a few days at 8.30pm. Ideally, I would like to check the bags around noon. Is this possible or is there a restriction as to how early the bags can be checked? (I have no status on Hawaiian in case this is relevant.)

The Contract of Carriage only says this (that I can find):

Passengers required to check in baggage should do so at least 3 hours prior to scheduled departure, but must do so no less than 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure otherwise HA reserves the right to refuse to accept such baggage;

General guideline is no more than 4 hours prior to departure. Personally, I wouldn't want my bag to be hanging around OGG from Noon to 8 pm anyway. If you have a compelling reason to check it that early, I would go to the Hawaiian counter in advance and see if they'll do it.
