SkyTeam - Which destinations will no longer be served by ST when Continental and Copa exit?

The Skyteam website mentions that there are "a very few destinations" that will be lost on October 24 when Continental and Copa leave for Star Alliance. I'm pretty sure that losing Guam-Cairns isn't going to have any impact on my travel, but just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the other destinations are? I'm guessing that Latin America will be hit, but are there any North American or European destinations that will disappear from the Skyteam map?

Your mention of GUM-CNS highlights one of the greatest losses (to me, anyway): Micronesia! Although ST will still serve GUM, the island hopper to the four Micronesian main islands will be completely gone from ST. Also the GUM-ROP/SPN route is a nice one (though SPN is still available with NW/DL).

And, although no actual loss of destinations, the direct TATLs to USA from quite a few UK cities (GLA, MAN, etc) will drop from ST with CO's exit. DL may step in with some of these, though.

Also, I think quite a few Central American (Copa) and Caribbean (CO ex USA)spots will be lost but, again, DL may take up some of the Caribbean ones.

I'm with you on this one! Hopefully, BD will lump FSM with South East Asia for redemptions

Thanks for your replies.

So other than volume of traffic, there are no significant losses in North America or Europe?

There are a number of small destinations in Texas and nearby that Co serves that you won't be able to reach:
Amarillo
Beaumont
Brownsville
Harlingen
Laredo
Midland
Lake Charles, LA

DL recently started service from MEM to some other Texas destination like McAllen and Lubbock, undoubtedly to fill in some of the holes that CO's departure will leave.

Most of the South Pacific destinations the CO serves from GUM will go away (Saipan, Palau, etc.) although GUM itself will still be reachable via NRT on NW.

CO and DL mostly overlap in Central America but I suspect AM serves any destinations in Mexico and Central America that DL doesn't.

As far as Europe is concerned, Belfast is the only one that might go away.
