Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Mexicana: Changing seat selection after purchase?

Howdy All -

I have a trip with Mexicana coming up in December. I booked my flights and selected seats when I purchased on the Mexicana website. A day later, two friends decided they were gonna make the trip with me and bought their own tickets. Unfortunately, they misunderstood my email and did not select seats near me.

I'm trying to remedy the situation now, and can't seem to figure out if it's possible to change your seat selection on Mexicana's website. Anyone know? It normally wouldn't be a big deal, but we're flying ORD - EZE, and for a flight that long we'd like to talk a bit.

on mexicana website, go to online services, then reswervation and payments, enter reservation # and name, then supposely will allow you to modify your seats. i have tried to save my changed seating, but it gives me an error or revert back to originial seats

now go log back in and see if the the changes are correct, when i change my seats it shows it being changed, but when i log out and back in it reverts to my original seats, but maybe its because i am trying to get a exit row seat

Yup, when I sign back in the changes do reflect on the reservation. Mexicana even emailed me a few minutes afterwards to notify me that the changes had been made.

I've never been able to change my seats at mexicana.com. What I usually do is call mexicana and ask to change my seats and that works better than trying to do it online.

Do you book it through mexicana.com? I can't change my seat assignments either, but looks like no one else is booked on the plane either. So I was thinking that maybe they just don't have assigned seating until a certain time in advance (my flights are months away.)

after trying many and many of times on mexicana website, i accidently saw a link on cheaptickets where i purchase my ticket to change seats, and after my first try, walla, my new seats are assigned, yeah
