via the above link I just purchased my 1st tkt on B6

having UA1K and 125k yr end bonus in the bag , as well as CO Plat in the bag,I have the op to finally after all these yrs to try B6 out

besides not much of a choice its either US out of LGA on a CRJ :td::td:, or DL on their puddle jumper :td: and $10 each way for my bag or B6 on a 190 but no mere puddle jumper

all I lose is 1150 RDMs with UA or CO for not going US since its less then 500 miles and all you get is actual miles if it isnt their metal

Heading to YYZ, funny due to the FDs I had plenty of 1 ways I paid for too bad I didnt know about this trip back when

YYZ was close to $300 and I couldnt believe it both AC & AA use RJs on the route. Last time I looked they both had mainlines

I feel like a kid let loose in a candy store :D hope they dont disappoint

Did you check Porter Air's prices? It is a Q400 but a rather comfortable ride (http://www.wanderingaramean.com/2009/09/im-definitely-porter-air-person.html). And the fact that they fly to YTZ rather than YYZ is incredibly convenient if your destination is actually Toronto.

yep and in US$ its $310.85 they are more then CO which wanted $297.15

B6 was $104.50 to BUF too bad they dont fly to YTZ or YYZ

all of the above are R/T fares

that said I really dont want to fly on a Q if I dont have to,just did a Q2 & Q4 PHL-EWR-MHT last week much preferred the RJs MHT-CLE-PHL on the way back

How much is your rental car? And gas and tolls and the value of the ~2 hours each way driving? I'm not saying that all that would necessarily make or break the deal, but it should all factor in. And I'd happily pay the $15 extra to fly from YTZ over YYZ. At CDN$53 each way for a cab to/from YYZ you'll make back that savings on arrival. Finally, while it is still a Q, the PD planes have one fewer row than CO's do so there is a rather generous pitch on them.

What no Welcome to FT for Me?!

youd think that was my 1st post on FT and this is my 1st trip ever the way you are posting.

The jist is I have a wedding to attend in Toronto NE area. There will be a bus or shuttle to take those staying at YYZ to/from the wedding. I dont want to be tied down to that schedule, Meaning if I want to leave before hand I couldnt or stay longer

Cars were about the same in both locations, but got a CY in NF for $67US ai 1/2 what it would have been up North. Plus I hope to see the falls for a bit havent been there in almost 30 yrs (Havent as yet but will be doing some PLing for the car).

So when I put it all down on paper and compared everything I felt BUF was the best way to go

Nah....just pointing out that it isn't just about the fare. And espousing my affinity for Porter Air. ;)

If you aren't going to be actually in Toronto proper - thus requiring a car anyways - then most of the other comparison stuff falls away.

exactly why I went with BUF

My choice was pay 2 1/2 times what I am for the tkt, pay at least 2x for a Hotel, and pay appx the same for a car. No Brainer BUF over YYZ or YTZ, even with the gas and tolls

But YYZ would have been alot less hassle over all. just $ & cents it didnt add up this time
