Accor’s AClub loyalty scheme celebrates its first anniversary, and is offering new members 2,000 points (redeemable for a €40 hotel voucher) if they sign up before the end of the month.

The AClub scheme has attracted three million members since it launched last year (see online news September 12, 2008), with guests earning points redeemable against vouchers which can be used for payment in all Accor hotels.

Members can also earn points with partner airlines and car hire companies including Europcar, Air France KLM, BA, Delta, Qantas and Lufthansa, with Air Berlin and Aeroplan due to join at the end of October.

As well as this month’s 2,000 points joining incentive, Accor is also offering double points for existing members until September 20, and at the end of the month members can enter a draw to win prizes including 100,000 points (worth €2,000 in vouchers), flights and car rental packages.

From January 2010 AClub will move to a paperless reward system, allowing members to receive their vouchers in electronic form. For more information visit a-club.com.

Yes that is fantastic. I hope they actually issue them immediately rather than being made to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the paperless reward to be generated.

Hope they can then be applied to pre-pay rates as well, would make your rewards go much further ^

I guess they'll become non-transferable then?
