I flew TLV-ZRH which I haven't done for a couple of months, last time they had downgraded the equipment to A330s. I randomly noticed on expertflyer that the equipment is A340 but only 2 classes and first is sold as biz class.
Was not expecting an upgrade flight seemed wide open but Y was oversold and was op-uped to C. C was less than a third full. After door closing I asked the purser if I can move forward and she said sure. Flew 1st seat with biz service.
I am assuming the equipment is short term due to the Holidays in Israel
