California - Trip/hotel advice LA-Sequoia-Yosemite-Lake Tahoe-SF

I am looking for advice where to stay at. I have points with Choice Hotels which I need to spend by the end of this year.
I will be driving from Los Angeles. Should I stay at Sequoia Park at Comfort Inn Sequoia Kings Canyon or drive up to Yosemite and stay at Comfort Inn Oakhurst?
then at Lake Tahoe two choices - Quality Inn Casino Area (Lake Tahoe)
or Quality Inn Trailside (Carson City)?
and San Francisco 3 choices: Villa Montes at San Bruno (620 El Camino Real, 94066), or Quality Inn at Millbrae (250 El Camino Real, Millbrae 94030) or Quality Inn and Suites South SF (410 S. Airport Blvd, 94080)?
Anyone stayed at these hotels? Maybe one location is better than another?
Planning to spend 1 night at parks, Lake Tahoe maybe 2 nights, and SF 2 nights.
Thank you

I can only comment on Lake Tahoe vs Carson City. Tahoe wins by a mile.

None of the SF area hotels you list are in SF.
IMHO, it might be better to pop for a hotel in SF on Priceline or Hotwire. Driving around the 'burbs to get into SF is no fun at all.
I'd much rather hop a cable car to the Marina and drink Irish Coffee with breakfast at the Buena Vista. :D

Here is some detailed information re: Sequoia, things to do, where to stay, how long to get there from LA, etc. Someone asked previously and I responded. My sister used to be a park ranger there. Cheers.

As a general rule, lower end hotels are a better pick in the middle of nowhere vs major metropolitan area so I'd spent points around sierra and as advised before priceline a decent hotel in SF.
Check tripadvisor for reviews - while it's not the most reliable source due to varying expectations, in your case it should be quite useful.

For the Sequoia-Oakhurst date, another option is to stay in Fresno. There's a newish Comfort Suites property at Herndon Avenue. There is easy access to Route 41 (the road to Yosemite), and lots of restaurant and shopping options in the adjacent River Park area. IIRC the Quality Inn property is a converted Ramada, and it's pretty old.
You didn't list your specific dates beyond end-of-year, but if they are in the latter range and you ae into the foggy season, one advantage to Oakhurst would be that you'd be above the fog.

The Quality Inn off 41 on Shaw Ave in Fresno? No that is down the street from the Ramada which is still open under that brand. The Quality Inn is across from the mall and opened, oh, about 15 years ago or so as a new build. But the Comfort on Herndon would still be a better property.
For Sequoia you might also look into the Comfort Suites in downtown Visalia on Acequia Street (not the airport property). Downtown Visalia is adjacent to highway 198 and about 40 minutes west of the Three Rivers/Sequoia Comfort Inn. But downtown Visalia has a large number of restaurants that would provide dinner choices.

OK, now I realize where the QI is - north side of Shaw, just east of Fresno Street, correct? (a Men's Wearhouse is or was right around there, IIRC).
My mom lives nearby (Fresno and Gettysburg).

Yes, the QI is by the Mens Wearhouse. The nice thing about the location these days is the ability to walk to some nice restaurants that have opened in the area.
Across the street at the mall are the chains like Flemings, Cheesecake Factory, and others.
But I like Cracked Pepper Bistro at the southwest corner of Fresno and Shaw (just a short walk from the QI). Excellent food, the Mala-Insana Napoleon (eggplant appetizer) is worth the stop by itself.

That's a great place and +1 on staying in Fresno as well.
