Finnair Plus - Silver status attained without fulfilling requirements

Last week I got mail from Finnair: A blue folder containing a mousepad, a baggage tag and the silver card. It really surprised me because I do not fulfill the requirements for the silver status.
After a trip to Asia (J class), the outbound flight was counted twice on the point balance, but removed a couple of days later. So, for a short period of time, I had almost (59xxx points), so just almost 60k points. After the correction, I now have the "normal" 39xxx points.
Did Finnair do a mistake or is it the case that members of program, residing outside of Finland, need fewer points to attain any status?

My guess is that the system was triggered while you had the 59k there for few days...clearly their/system mistake but I think they don't dare to take it back...Silver card has very little value/cost for AY anyway, J check-in is useful at some locations and naturally you'll have access to priority pass level lounges if flying in AY metal/ticketed whY (no general OW access).
Anyway, enjoy your new shiny card!

My fiancé received the mousepad when her qualification period ended in april. She had earned a little less than 50000 points and she lives in Finland.
The silver card was a nice surprise especially since the total amount she paid for the flights that earned her status was less than 2000€.
