Budget Travel - flying to tel aviv from london
Hello everyone,
I need to fly to Israel in about one month's time from the UK.
Do you know what would be the cheapest airline to fly from London to Tel Aviv?
Thanks
Dan
If "about a month's time" could be November then Easyjet would be your best bet. But until then I'd look at the usual suspects - BA, BMI, El-Al

You could also consider taking a charter/low-cost flight to one of the Egyptian Red Sea resorts and then going overland into southern Israel - but I'd imagine that the hassle would outweigh any discount that might exist.

I would go to somewhere like www.amadeus.net and type in the itinerary and dates and they will show you what's available, with links to the appropriate site (either airline site or third-party booking site such as Expedia)

Isn't it just another Kayak.com interface?

Hi,
I've done that kinda thing (Europe to Israel travel) a lot. I can definitely help you out but I need the following information:
1) Are you willing to fly to Egypt (i.e. Taba) or Jordan (i.e. Amman or Aqaba)?
2) Alternatively, are you willing to leave from another point in Europe (i.e. Germany, Belgium, even Manchester, etc.) if the price (including your rail and/or air connection) is right?
3) How much checked baggage, if applicable, do you have?
4) What are your intended travel dates?
I find that the cheapest one-ways are often available from
www.isstadirect.com
It is reputable agent.

I think you will find that Amadeus has been around somewhat longer than Kayak.com. It is one of the "big four" reservations systems (the other three are Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan), it has been operational since 1987.
