Harrah’s Entertainment is buying up the Planet Hollywood Resort’s debt in what an analyst said could be a bid to take over the financially troubled Strip resort.

I wonder if they'll throw out SPG?

Considering the peanut offers I get from PH, I think this will be a good marriage.

I can't imagine how McHarrah's taking over PH will be good for consumers.

Doesn't necessarily mean that PH A-List will be gone immediately.
Often depends on Harrah's plan for the property, with regard to integration. Though, at this point, I'm assuming they would integrate instead of tear down. Took quite a while for IP (Imperial Palace) to be integrated into TR (Total Rewards) after purchase; as it was supposed to be an implosion slated property (after takeover), IIRC.
Bill's also has morphed into a strange player's club, which carries the tagline : "A Non-Total Rewards casino partner of Harrah's Entertainment."
I would probably vote that this isn't a great thing, as I hate to see fewer player clubs (and independent casino properties) on the strip and in Vegas, overall.

feb/mar was when murren (mgm) said things were worst IIRC
I think what's worse is losing an SPG property in Vegas with only the Westin as an alternative for a strip hotel.
