El Al Matmid - Unaccompanied minors LHR-TLV

Hi there,

We are using this service for the first time for two of our kids (age 7 and 8)LHR-TLV-LHR and was just wondering if anyone here has used this service who could share with me what to expect and if they encountered any problems.

After booking the tickets, I would double check with EL-AL customer service
that everything is ok with the reservation...
If more than one kid is flying, Then verify they sit together.
Depends on the flight dates, If its not a 777, I would recommend them
to book vidibox service.

UM service on LY is good

A couple of years back, I was an UM on Tlv-LHR. FLight was delayed for hours, adn we didn't take off till about 0300 :o.
The FA was pretty good, we were taken off the plane and given meals.

Once El Al had a terrible delay due to mechanical problem with the aircraft. I heard from a friend whose child was an UM returning to Israel that LY had the flight attendants watch the kids, even go to the hotel lobby where they put them up and get them food and keep an eye on them overnight.
