Italy - NWA check-in at FCO--has it changed with merger?

Hi all,

I searched FT and checked carrier sites with no luck. Where do I check-in to fly out of FCO to DTW on Northwest? The Delta sight says go to T5 and NWA says nothing. It is a NWA operated flight / metal. I was planning to get there about 3 hours early. Is that good? No luggage to check.

Thanks

Check in for all US carriers takes place at T5. 3 hours will be plenty of time.

Last time I flew out of FCO (CO coach) two hours was more than enough.

T5 has been open since May 2008 and they seem to now have their stuff together (Finally). I'd always follow the advice of the airline and for most airlines international flights from FCO to the US state three hours. Do make sure you tell your shuttle driver or taxi you need to go to T5 because if you get dropped off at C terminal it's quite a hike to T5. From the train station, you'll have to head down to the main street out in front of the main terminal and catch a shuttle bus.

Once you go through check-in and security at T5, you'll board a shuttle bus behind security and be ferried out to the C Satellite Departures Terminal. Here, all US airlines are isoalted. Not much in the way of food out here so be aware. Plenty of high-end shopping though!
