All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - 2 month validity!? Where is that notation?

I have a trip booked on fly-ana.com

Departing September 22-30
SFO-NRT (K Class)
NRT-LAX (W Class)

I called ANA Singapore, where I live.

I wish to change the return to Jan 12, 2010.
(I agree to pay the change fee)

The phone agent said the ticket is invalid after 2 months and I will forfeit the rest of the ticket unless I fly within the 2 month validity.

Is this a Singapore Agent issue, or is this the reality of my ticket?
Any possible way to get this changed, I really need the return.

I looked through all the sites and I have NEVER seen mention of this validity period (I do accept I may have missed it) but what are my options!?

Still absurd, but a small update.

Singapore ANA desk isn't willing / smart enough to make any changes.

USA ANA desk says the same thing, but when I explain it a bit more, they are willing to make the modification. (Fare difference is $280 per passenger)

I may just give this ticket up. It boards in about 5 hours.

280 to extend it to the middle of Jan. (includes the 100 change fee)

NRT-LAX.

Not that helpful when I am not even in NRT and have no need for a 1way back to LAX.

If anyone thinks it is worth 280 to change, let me know.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I can't follow.

In the 1st post, the return is really needed.

In the last post, you have no need for return, and are not even in NRT?

It seems to me that you have 4 choices::

1) you don't travel: you probably wasted more than 280$ as these tickets are not refundable

2) you travel to NRT and pay the change fee to change your return (280$ does not seem outrageous to change a W fare at the last minute)

3) you travel to NRT, throw away the return ticket, and buy a new ticket back to lax (throwing away the 2nd leg ticket again). This will always be more expensive than option 2

4) you travel to NRT, throw away the return ticket, and buy a new ticket to your home in SIN (throwing away the 2nd leg ticket again)
