Other Hotel Programs - La Quinta Inn San Diego Mission Valley - Review?

I have a 2 day weekend booked at this place and will be our first in a La Quinta hotel. We will be 4 adults , 1 kid (5 yr ) and a dog. We got the King suite with sofa ...Not sure how this will all fit in but hotel says it will be fine. Any experiences with this hotel?
