I will be travelling to Jeju Island in November. I will be arriving from the USA and am wondering what's the best way to get there.
I am thinking of breaking my journey in Tokyo so I can take the Haneda to Kimpo flight and connect directly to Jeju. Any comments ??? I do not seem to see any flights from Incheon to Jeju on my days of travel. Is that correct, or am I missing somehting???
Also, is it true that Asiana only operates all economy class flights on that sector.

Incheon to Jeju happens on holidays or vacation season mostly. If you need to get to Tokyo, your route will be good (by the way, KE operates daily NRT-Jeju), but ICN to GMP airport is no pain at all, so I recommend to come to ICN airport from wherever and take bus or rail to get to GMP airport. It's 30 minute travel and $4 at most, with very frequent buses.
And yes, Asiana operates only Y on all domestic routes.

Maybe are you gonna go there for microtas conference? Many people from Korea and overseas will be there in November, so I recommend to get a ticket if you intend to take a flight GMP-Jeju. GMP-Jeju is too competitive route to buy ticket.. Especially in weekend.. ALso, there're one or two flight from ICN-Jeju, but time slot is not good..
Anyway, the best connection is transit at NRT to Jeju directly. Otherwise, juet go to ICN, and take a bus to GMP (takes 40mins and 5$), and take domestic flight again!
