Fairmont President's Club - Do Airline Miles Post Automatically?

I am in the President's Club and have identified the airline miles I wish to receive in the profile.

Do I need to request the miles at check-in, or should the information in the profile be sufficient for the miles to post?

And, about how long does it typically take?

I am waiting for 2 Fairmont stays in early August to post.

I've never requested the miles at check-in since it's in my profile and always get the credits.

As for how long.... I've noticed differences b/w which FF program I use since I've switched twice.

I almost never get airline points, because I always stay on discounted rates. Most do not allow airline miles.

With rates from NFAF, I don't mind forgoing a few airlines miles (which are usually given out like candy anyway).

The points will appear automatically on your statements if its on your profile. Depending on the program it can take anywhere from 10 - 30 days to appear.

Keep in mind that many rates do not qualify for the airline miles. Many of the discounted rates such as government, friends and family, group rates and Great Rates Great Dates do not qualify.
