I saw this too. KE might not be a big fan of adding JL to ST. In fact, I would bet that adding JL would directly lead KE to OW (if it were, somehow, to happen over their objections).

No, KE will might to kept it for a long time. KE are very good skyteam alliance for almost more than 8 years. KE isn't going anywhere to OW. KE & JL will become greatest Skyteam alliance. If they will have negotiable deal from Skyteam member of the boards will get approval. Hopefully it will get more codesharing expansion to joins DL, NW, AM, OK, AF, CZ, AZ, SU, KL. Whenever for which airlines will be next introduce new Skyteam with VN, RO, GA, Isn't VN will already joins into the Skyteam for next year in 2010, am I correct?

I don't see why this should be such an issue, given that ANA and Asiana both co-exist within Star Alliance (although not sure how happily this is the case).

We already had a lot of choice to NE Asia with NW hub in NRT but that would still be a good addition! Never flew JL so that would be a good opportunity :)

VN will join SkyTeam early next year, maybe to coincide woth ST's 10 year anniversary!
VN have expansive code-share agreements with both KE & JL to and from Nth Asia, JL even wanting to pull VN into OW at one stage but somehow VN ended in joining ST. So maybe VN might pursuade JL to join ST as well?

Do you have a source for that or is it pure speculation? I have not seen anything concrete so far suggesting a fixed date for VN to join, let alone in early 2010. That would be great news but I doubt it, somehow.

I know. But you know as well as I do, if you've been following SkyTeam that these dates mentioned when the MOUs are signed don't really mean anything. I REALLY doubt VN will join in early 2010 as soorox said, to be honest I doubt they will join in 2010 at all.
