Asiana Club - Unable to change seat assignments

I will be flying Asiana for the first time next month - ICN to ORD in C - on award travel. They have assigned me an aisle and middle seat (6 E and G) but I prefer an aisle and window on the side. The CSR says that business is not full but that I "maybe can change at airport". What's up with that? Any advice from OZ regulars?

I guess you're not an Asiana club member? I'd join, if I were you. Doesn't cost. And you don't need your miles to go there. Once joined you'll have much better chance of the side rows, in my experience.

I did sign up so I could do seat selection online. Unfortunately, it won't work for me; as best I can tell from other postings it's because the ticketing is Star Alliance partner award travel. I guess I could call and give them my Club number but I'm not sure why they would care since it's a free ticket.
