West - SEA to YVR Vancouver BC by gound after 9pm ?

The various airport port shuttle buses that run from SeaTac to VYR/Vancouver BC have had their last run leave SeaTac by 8:30 pm.

I want to leave SeaTac after a Sunday 9pm landing with checked luggage and get to YVR airport or downtown Vancouver BC. So far best options are

fly $280
rent a car $160
taxi for $600


Is there any bus / train combination that would get me there for less, and not break if my flight was 2 hours late arriving ?

There's a 9:15pm AMTRAK bus, but you'll need to get to the AMTRAK depot downtown to catch it. Probably won't work if you're landing at 9.

If you're feeling brave, there's a 1000pm Greyhound service from Seattle that gets into Vancouver at 1:55am. (Advance ticket off the Greyhound website is just $17 -- the cab from the airport to the downtown depot will cost you a lot more than that.) If you landed on time and had no checked luggage, you could just make that bus. There's really no other option outside of renting a car, which is what I'd do. At that hour the drive from Sea-Tac to downtown Vancouver takes less than three hours.
