I am looking to book a C award ticket using NH miles (transfer from Amex points), but need to do multi-stop or r/t with stopover or open-jaw (haven't decided yet).

I found some of the information I need on ANA site and reading here, but few piece I wasn't able to find - or stared at it and missed it:

- it seems like multi-stop itineraries are possible on *A awards:
http://www.ana.co.jp/wws/general/e/amc/reference/tokuten/teikeiair_1.html

- if not, what are the stop-over rules / allowances?

- is open-jaw an option?

- can one book multi-stop award online (doesn't look like it, but may be missing it) or phone only?

If it makes a difference, I'm roughly looking to do SIN-HKG- HKT(or something else) -SIN.

Thanks!

Upto 12 sectors in total are allowed in one redemption, of which upto 4 are allowed in Japan. Four stopovers allowed in total. Non StarAlliance partner flights may not be used with other partner flights. I think an open jaw would count as one stopover.

I was able to book the following itinerary online 9 sectors with 4 stopovers. Except my stay in NRT on Oct 18-19, all other Japan sectors are transit and do not count as stopovers because my stays in FUK, ITM, and SDJ are less than 24 hours in each city.

OCT 12 TG662 BKK-PVG
OCT 14 OZ362 PVG-ICN
OCT 15 OZ132 ICN-FUK
OCT 16 NH424 FUK-ITM
OCT 17 NH733 ITM-SDJ
OCT 18 NH3232 SDJ-NRT
OCT 20 NH909 NRT-HKG
OCT 23 UA869 HKG-SGN
OCT 25 LH773 SGN-BKK

That's great (actually borderline amazing)! Thanks for the info - and in the meantime I did figure out how you go about booking multi-stops (Flight search link on the bottom of the standard round-trip search page)

Good luck in your award redepmtion. I spent only 63k miles on my award itinerary above in C class which I think is a great deal. I believe redeeming miles on *A partners is the best way to make the most out of NH miles.

Actually I was recently planning a *A redemption myself to Europe.

Probably not too relevant for your case since you're only travelling within Asia, but the fine print says out of the 4 stopovers, only 2 can be in Europe.

Any ground arrangements (eg. open jaws) is possible, but will eat into one of the stopovers.
