Hi all,

Like some of you (Mr Bean comes to mind) I am planning a MR to SIN and would like to make a side trip to DEL. So I need SIN-DEL-SIN ticket, as inexpensive as possible. If necessary, I can use BOM too.

Which airline to fly? I was thinking of IT for a few reasons, but now the equation has become more difficult. IT is under a serious lawsuit, 9W has a pilots strike. Would you avoid these? That leaves AI among Indian carriers.

Fares: Is there any trick of the FT trade that works here? Please pm me. Don't post any sensitive info.

Where to buy from? As the trip begins in SIN, would a SIN portal be better? I only know of Zuji (=Travelocity).

I have not dealt with this sector ever and would appreciate any advice from the more experienced members here.

Having said what I have on http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/airlines-india/993515-lawsuit-kf-will-kf-buckle-down-fold-up.html, I think KF will continue to fly. INR 3 billion isn't much for Dr Mallya, though its more that just batting an eyelid. Things will work out, so if you're planning to book on KF, I suggest go right ahead. Even if they go down (God forbid), they will go down in style!

Hmm, if you want to avoid indian carriers as much as possible but for little $$, I'm seeing MI (SilkAir, owned by SQ) flight on SIN-HYD for 301 USD. Maybe you can find a DEL-HYD-SIN type routing for a few $$ more.
