Qatar Airways Privilege Club - reaching DOH in F and leaving in J, which lounge ?

I've upgraded with miles the CDG-DOH section to F from a CDG-HKG ticket in D, where the DOH-HKG is a 2 class flight. The reservation agent reckons I can only stay in the business lounge in DOH, which is different of what I'm used to with TG in similar circumstances. Does that seem right to you ?

The agent is correct, sort of. You will have access to the Premium Terminal which has a First Class side and a Business Side. They will allow you access based on the boarding card for your onward flight. It is likely that your DOH-HKG card will read business so you will be restricted to that side of the PT.

You can dig into the threads here for the differences, but both sides are fine places to wait for your connection.

Thanks for the additional info. It will be back to the J lounge then, which is indeed quite decent although I would have apreciated to check the F side. Might upgrade to F the DOH-CDG portion on the return flight.
