Last month I received 2 roundtrip credits for volunteering to be bumped off a flight from Atlanta to Denver. Can I used these as 4 one-way credits, or must they be used for roundtrip travel? Thanks.

They are RTs, not one ways...

Just a observation, DEN-ATL is ALWAYS overbooked but almost never oversells. In my time working in DEN, I took volunteers for the 7AM flight once. ATL-DEN on the other hand seems to ALWAYS be oversold.

I'd call and ask, I have used these as 1 way vouchers w/in the last year. My wife joined me on a trip to SAN and vochers were only good one direction as that 'fare class' was sold out on the return. She paid for the return and used the voucher on the way out.

And just a hint if you didn't already know this. Before you call, you can use the online reward tool to look for space. These seats are pulled from the same bucket that credit travel is pulled. So, in my findings, if you can find room online, it will be open when you call.

I have never had a problem splitting up the roundtrip voucher into two seperate one-ways.

I've also been lucky in requesting that the vouchers be transferrable (so I could use them for myself or someone else)...I'm not sure the gate agents can do this, but the service supervisors (who often help in oversold situations) can make that happen and can document the record to reflect this. They routinely also offer 2 roundtrips per bumped passenger if they really need volunteers and there isn't too much interest with the first offer.
