JAL Mileage Bank - JAL In Flight Entertainment

I just booked a flight from NRT to SFO on a JAL 773. How much english language in flight entrainment is generally available? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question, but I've only flown to and from Japan on US carriers in the past. If it's limited I'd like to know so I can start loading my laptop with movies now.

it depends on the plane. a JAL 773 is probably magic-ii or iii iirc.

magic-i on the 744 was dismal.

magic-ii seemed to have about as many options as AA's 777 to japan.

magic-iii sounds like it has a lot more.

You will have MAGIC-III on your flights. Here's (http://www.jal.co.jp/en/inflight/inter/jen/pre_movie/0910.html#magic_3) the October movie list for MAGIC-III. Roughly 1/3 of the programs are English contents
