Hi! I was just informed I will be going to the Rosemont Convention Center in Nov. Doubletree ( and all attached hotels) already sold out.
I don't mind the Hampton Inn. Does anyone know which is more convenient to the convention center? How far and how much by cab. Do not want to bother with a rental car.
All advice welcome!
Thanks!

Airport Hilton is closer and probably easier to get a cab. Quieter too, the HI is right beside the Tri-State

Thanks! Actually booked the HGI. It got great reviews on Tripadvisor and there is a shuttle service to the convention center. Plus nice pool and gym.

HGI is nice - stayed there earlier this year - shuttle is great and runs about most places on demand

Definitely good reasons to stay at HGI. Anyone know about the flight path relative to that hotel? It's something I've thought about when I've had the need to attend something at the Rosemont CC and thought about staying at properties across from the CC (ie. Crowne Plaza, Intercon, ES, DT, etc.). Any thoughts from people who stayed there?
Interesting tidbit: One of the times I stayed at the Hilton O'Hare, a front desk agent told me that because the old and new control towers are so close to the hotel, it's a no fly zone. FWIW, it was very quiet.

Well, if you really havetoshop, I would bid $60 for a four star on Priceline. If that didn't work, I would book the Hilton. It is 100 feet to the shuttles from the front door. You've stayed there, so you know what it is about. HI is away from everything except a freeway. Don't know about the flight path.
4* on PL would get you Hyatt attached to convention center or Hilton.
Well, I've confused the OP with last post.
