I'm not able to book via the link. It takes me to a site in Spanish and the pictures are not showing up. When I click through to the English site, I don't see the same promo.

Looking for Paris from 9/13-9/15. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm getting the same thing. Can deal with the Spanish, but not the missing pics/links. Looking for Madrid in Oct and Lisbon in Dec.

Anyone get this to work?

The timing of this promo was slightly off for me -- I just stayed three nights there over the weekend for $92/nt. But maybe I can use it for my next visit at the end of October.

How did you get the page to work?

I tried this option, but I am not getting the discounted rates referenced in the OP. Rates for Paris start at 169 Euros.

The same promotion, clickable, en francais:

http://fr.solmelia.com/promociones/producto/50000Hab_09/jsp/C_Home.jsp?idCritMarca=70874

I can't figure out the link in English. "de" is German, "es" is Spanish (still dead links), and "fr" is French. "En", "gb", "in", "us", "ca" all were dead.

Thanks to the OP for the notice. Very helpful!!

Here's the link in english from their international website:

http://www.solmelia.com/promociones/producto/50000Hab_09B/jsp/C_Home.jsp?idLang=en

Looks like the same promotion, with slightly different wording (from $65 a night) for USD.

I tried several cities and dates on the French and German sites, but there were never any rooms available for the dates I needed. A working link yesterday might have gotten me something, but I guess they're going fast.

Thanks OP!

Went for the Cibeles. You saved me a lot of money

Thanks, OP!

I opted for the Tryp Washington in Madrid. Though the Cibeles was a better value, I got freaked by a couple reviews involving safe breakins and luggage thefts.

Which site did you use to get the Madrid hotels? I can't find a way to get there from the English site, and can't seem to find a room on the German and French sites.

I used the German site.

1. Select the Brand at the top (e.g. Tryp)
2. There are two tabs on the top of the hotel list: Europa (= Europe) and Spanien (= Spain). Click Spanien.
3. If the appropriate region is not selected, click that (Katalonien & Ostkuste)

You should see the Madrid hotels.

The text on the German site seemed to indicate that you will pay the hotel directly, but if you fail to show, the CC will be charged.

As an American, I bought a bunch of prepaid rooms in Europe from them early this year for travel in November and they DIDN'T bill me for it yet. I'm actually annoyed because the Euro is now 20% higher and my deal isn't such a great deal anymore. I'm thinking of complaining, but what are the odds that such a complaint will work? I just wish they had billed me like they said they would.

My reservations says the following:
"Ihrer Kreditkarte wird zwischen dem Buchungsdatum und dem Ankunftsdatum der Gesamtbetrag belastet."

It says they'll charge my credit card sometime between the moment of booking and checking in.

For future reference, hotel chains really have no mechanism for central billing. All billing goes through the hotel, so it's not uncommon to be charged at any time prior to or at checkin for the full amount.

Yeah, my receipt says that, but the booking page says:

"Der Betrag für diese Buchung wird Ihrer Kreditkarte nicht belastet (Sie bezahlen Ihren Aufenthalt direkt im Hotel), es sei denn, Sie präsentieren sich am Anreisedatum nicht im Hotel. In diesem Fall würde Ihrer Kreditkarte der entsprechende Stornobetrag belastet. Bei Buchungen, die eine Vorauszahlung erfordern, wird der Betrag der angegebenen Kreditkarte belastet (siehe Preiskonditionen). "

So I'm not sure what they'll do.

finished the stay at Tryp Cibeles in Madrid for 45 euros per night.. Great location, the hotel looks kinda old and tired.. but who cares when you are only sleeping there... right on the Gran Via. Had to tell the hotel staff by emails to charge me in advance, as they did...

Wish I had done that earlier in the year for my Tryp reservation in Madrid. Oh well -- I guess I'll be pay 20% more! BTW, other hotel chains do typically charge in advance. In the past year, Hilton, Starwood and Aston have all charged me WAY in advance of my reservation.

it was an advance purchase fare... they had the CC number.. but for some reason they didnt charge it day, two after.. so because i needed confirmation for the embassy i told them to charge it..
