Avis - AVIS and MSP rentals ... got a cert in the mail

Received a letter with a $15 certificate off my next rental with AVIS. Apparently it was as a result of some agreement between AVIS and MAC (metropolitan airports commission) which governs MSP about airport use fees. AVIS disagrees they did anything wrong (of course), but agreed to this program to address the issue.

So did I. It said I was getting the cert because I had rented at MSP between Jan 1/06 and May 31/08!

Coupon is only valid for rentals in the US only and is valid until Feb 28/11.

I'll bet this can't be combined with the $25 vouchers I have from bad service.

I reviewed the fine print and using this coupon does NOT appear to void the rental as a qualifying rental for your weekend coupon, although I don't hold out hope this is true.

I didn't read it in full, but my quick look seemed to indicate its like the $75 Hertz certs that are similar to cash against the rental and don't impact the qualifying rental or use of other coupons. I can only hope.

I got one too in the mail. I almost thought it was just a promotional letter, until I noticed the coupon.
